Ceiba: A Split EP With Teebs

Premiered through LA Record, I am happy to introduce two brand new tracks on this digital split EP with Brainfeeder artist, Teebs, out now on Strange Neighbor!

Originally intended for the Word Is Bond Soundtrack, Kings is a collaboration with vocalist Meagan Simone: a brief eulogy for a kinship lost over the Rhodes stylings of Boy King Islands' Jason Hunt.

Sanza Eclipse is an instrumental equally inspired by the schizophrenic weather of my last month in Los Angeles, and the gorgeous music of Francis Bebey. I chopped up mbira played by my old friend and Transmission collaborator, Andrew Kitchen (from his band, Painted Cakes), and improvised live bass over a reversed version of the tune to create the eerie solo you'll hear when you press play.
